What’s on offer?

Talk 2 Change offers evidence based psychological talking therapies, of which are recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence for treatment within the NHS.

I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence based short term psychotherapy, clinically effective for the treatment of anxiety difficulties and depression. Additionally I offer Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), of which is clinically effective for the treatment of anxiety disorders such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Phobias. However this treatment can be applied to a range of problems. Decisions around suitable therapy approaches will be jointly made following our initial meeting.

Getting Started

It’s fairly common to feel apprehensive about accessing talking therapies. You might not know what to expect, you might not want others to know, you may not be sure whether it’s the right step for you. Therefore it can be really useful to have an initial brief 15 minute telephone consultation with myself to help clarify what’s on offer and whether we both feel it might be helpful.

In my professional experience most overcome those initial anxieties and doubts about therapy and find the experience enlightening and helpful. My goal as a therapist is to support and empower you to become your own therapist, after all you’re the person who knows yourself best.
